EVALUATION OF A TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERED TO ADULTS OUT OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTEXT
Abstract
The study focuses on assessing the effectiveness of training programmes conducted for adult learners outside formal institutional environments. In recent years, non-institutional training programmes have gained importance in promoting lifelong learning, employability, professional competency, and social development among adults. These programmes are generally flexible, practical, and learner-oriented, catering to individuals from diverse educational and occupational backgrounds. The present study evaluates various dimensions of training effectiveness, including instructional methods, trainer competency, learner participation, knowledge acquisition, skill development, behavioural change, and the practical application of learned skills. The research adopts both quantitative and qualitative approaches through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and performance assessments to obtain comprehensive and evidence-based findings regarding the impact of the training programme on adult learners. The research emphasizes the importance of systematic evaluation and continuous improvement in ensuring meaningful learning experiences and sustainable developmental outcomes. The study also offers practical recommendations for trainers, policymakers, educational planners, and organizations to design more effective, inclusive, and outcome-oriented training programmes for adults outside institutional contexts.
