PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS' PERCEPTIONS REGARDING THE CONCEPT OF GAME: A PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY

Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the perceptions of classroom teachers about the concept of game. For this purpose, opinions of classroom teachers on the concept of game were taken. The research was carried out in a phenomenological research design in accordance with the qualitative research approach. The study group of the research consisted of 78 classroom teachers working in Ordu. The data were collected with the "Classroom Teachers' Opinion Form on the Concept of Game" developed by the researcher and analyzed by content analysis. In the research, the concept of game of classroom teachers; It was determined that they evaluated them in the categories of vital activity, food, health, entertainment tool, object, skill, educational activity, image and resource. Based on the findings obtained at the end of the research, suggestions were presented to researchers, teachers and program developers.
